FAMU Music Ensemble to Present Free Spirits of Spring Concert

The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and String Ensemble will present the “Spirits of Spring” concert to the Tallahassee area on March 5. The event will be held in Lee Hall Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public.


“Spirits of Spring” will be conducted by FAMU’s Associate Director of Bands Shelby Chipman, Ph.D., who also serves as the lead conductor for the Tallahassee Big Bend Community Orchestra. FAMU Professor and Music Education Coordinator Nicholas Thomas, Ed.D., will serve as a guest conductor, along with Adjunct Professor Ralph Jean-Paul, a recent FAMU graduate.
